C.O.E. - Formula

The formula for the BC COE is unique in this country. There is a grass root Talent ID Program that scouts young children into “Jr.Academy”. The Jr.Academy follows an athlete development model that was designed by Ms. McLeod. The Jr. Academy includes Team Coaching, Reward Incentives, Full Technique and Skill Development, Theatre On Ice, Practice Supervision, Term Evaluations, Club Competition and Fun Events.

The Formula continues from Jr. Academy into our Interediate, Sr. B and Sr. A competitive programs. These programs include assigned base Coach that works within the Team Coach Framework which compliments athlete strengths/weakness. Within each program the following items are offered: Group Enrichment, On Ice Classes, Off Ice Programs, Video Technology, Harness, Quality Accredited Ice Time, Enhanced and Open Sessions, Opportunity to audition for Competitive Ice Dance.

Finally BC COE has a competitive Ice Dance Program. The Singles program is directed by Joanne McLeod and her team of International, World Coaches. Any skaters with competitive reputation are invited to join her world class training sessions. Please apply directly to Ms. McLeod (email – jmcleod@icesports.com) The Ice Dance Program is coordinated by World and Olympic level ice dancers Megan Wing and Aaron Lowe. Our Ice Dance Program has National Champions and Junior and Senior National Team Members.

Ms. McLeod Elite Singles have won ISU Junior and Senior Grand Prix Events, Senior Grand Priz Final, Junior Worlds, Senior Worlds Top 5 Finish. She has had both male and females compete at the Olympic Games.
